Through pioneering efforts in dedicating their lives to the practice and teachings of Jainism, the family members of Shri Nandlal Devchand Sheth and Smt. Prabhavati Nandlal Sheth, have stood as exemplars for the entire community. As role models, they inspired each other to strengthen their connections with Jainism in order to encourage more people to comprehend the nuances of this beautiful religion in their daily life.
As a family, they are committed to exploring opportunities that would enable them to establish a Jain temple through Swadravya (with own resources). In March 1993, they identified the Sathia family’s Rose Flower farm at Palitana and took steps to procure the land from its owner.
The family took up the responsibilities of being the trustees of a newly formed Shree Vardhaman Mahavir Jain Religious Trust. Within a span of two years, the Trust had successfully completed the Khanan Vidhi and Shilasthapan Vidhi within its precincts.
Continuing with their parents’ wishes, the children followed the gracious guidance of Gurudev Param Pujya Acharya Bhagwant Shrimad Vijay Ramchandra Suri Swarji Maharaj Saheb and Param Pujya Acharya Bhagwant Shrimad Vijay Mahoday Suri Swarji Maharaj Saheb and their entire Samuday.
In 2003, they succeeded in opening the beautiful Nandprabha Temple at Palitana. Consecrating Lord Mahavir Swami on Feb 19, 2003; the temple opening included the Anjan Shalaka and Pratishtha Mahotsav celebrations over a period of 10 days in presence of approximately 800 Sadhu and Sadhvi and large gathering of people from every section of the society people. |
